Testing: Technical Rigor That Guarantees Quality at Scale

One of the biggest risks in scaling production is compromising quality—but PXID’s technical testing protocols eliminate this concern. We’ve developed a comprehensive testing ecosystem that validates every component and system before mass production begins, ensuring that what works in a prototype works identically in the 10,000th unit.

Our testing regimen includes fatigue tests simulating years of repeated use, drop tests to assess durability during shipping and daily use, and frame strength evaluations to validate safety under maximum load. We also conduct performance tests—like motor efficiency assessments, climb and brake trials, and range evaluations—to ensure consistent functionality. For electronics, we verify waterproofing (per IPX standards), high and low temperature performance, and battery safety through rigorous trials including short-circuit and overcharge tests.

This technical rigor was instrumental in our partnership with Wheels for their shared e-scooter deployment. This technical organization allows us to scale quickly: our daily production capacity reaches 800 units, with the flexibility to adjust for large orders. For example, when Urent needed 30,000 shared scooters for their network, our technical infrastructure enabled us to move from R&D to full production in just 9 months, achieving a peak output of 1,000 units per day—all while maintaining our strict quality standards.

This technical approach to manufacturing also controls costs. By integrating in-house tooling, mold development, and production, we reduce reliance on external suppliers, minimize delays, and optimize material usage. Our use of Moldflow simulations for mold design, for instance, increases first-try success rates to 90%, eliminating costly rework and speeding time to market.
