Under the new regulations, you must wear a helmet when riding an electric scooter in Valenzuela
Valenzuela city has passed an ordinance imposing guidelines for residents and the public who use electric scooters in the city.
Under Regulation No. 811 (Electric Scooters Ordinance 2020), drivers of electric scooters must wear a helmet. Knee pads, wrist pads and elbow pads are also encouraged.
The measure allows people 17 and older to use electric scooters in public places. People aged 16 and under can only ride electric scooters with the guidance of their parents.
Electric scooters are allowed on all roads in Valenzuela except MacArthur Road.
Violators will be fined 500 or 24 hours of community service.
