The Katalis EV500 electric scooter for getting around is well designed
Electric scooters seem to be gaining ground, and I hope they will play an important role in the motorcycle world of the future.I have a big problem with most of them: they're ugly. With the change of Katalis EV500.Katalis is an Indonesian design company that created the EV500 for the International Auto Show.
The bike is based on Selis Garuda. The design team kicked the frame to the curb and built a new one made of 6061 aluminum. On that frame are some unique metal bodies.A 500W electric motor and a 48V battery power the road. This is a short bike with a range of 25 miles. It will travel at 25 miles per hour. The battery can be fully charged in three hours.
In short, in terms of performance, it's not much better than an e-bike, but when it looks cool. It's almost steampunk style. The lines are very modern and cool.I would love to see products with improved specifications. It seems to be easy to build. If you maintain a top speed of 25 MPH, I'll bet the right battery can go 40 miles or more. That would be a good thing for commuters.
I don't see any plans to turn the EV500 into a production machine, but I think to do that, the specs will have to be improved.Just 25 miles and 25 miles per hour is not enough.Reaching range or top speed is possible here.
