Artega has started taking orders from Karo, a mini retro two-person electric car
Artega has started taking Karo's bookings.From now on, Isetta's two-seater electric car can be ordered through Artega's sales department in Germany.Two shipments are expected to be delivered in the first quarter, when exhibition and demonstration vehicles will also be provided to dealers.
Artega now formally refers to the model as "Karo-isetta".Now the heirs of Ermenegildo Preti, the inventor of ISo-Isetta, have accepted the name, so the car will have that nickname.The Karo-Isetta is said to have a top speed of 90 km/h, so it is even faster than its historic predecessor, and has no local emissions at all.The base price is €18,500 Plus 19% VAT (€21,995 in total) and comes with a long Range performance: the Range Plus has a Range of 200km.
Initially, the car will be available in two versions, the "Intro" series limited Edition and the "Edition" Edition.The first two Intro series will offer 54 and 55 cars;The Numbers represent a homage to the original cars of the 1950s.Both models of the Karo-Isetta come with fabric countertops, comfortable heated seats and adjustable internal heating.In addition, the integrated system supports Bluetooth smart phones.
For charging, an optional compatible type 2 wall case, including charging cables, costs €500 plus 19% VAT (total €595) and can be ordered on request.Karo-isettas comes with a Schuko cable that can be used for immediate charging at a household power outlet.
