More and more motorcycle manufacturers are adapting to the trend of electric motorcycles. In the past year or so, companies such as Kawasaki and BMW have outlined their visions for the future with new electric motorcycle concepts.

While some are still in the conceptual stage, others have taken action. That was the case with KTM and Husqvarna, which introduced small electric suVs, the Freeride e-XC and SX-E5 under the orange flag and the EE5 under the blue flag.We know that both companies have plans to expand their electric line-up, especially with electric scooters, but now we know that, at least for Husqvarna, there is more work to be done.

In late August 2020, KTM and Husqvarna's parent company Pierer Mobility hosted an investor presentation that presented year-to-date sales figures, where COVID-19 is headed, and future models.

In the "Performance and Urban Electric Mobility" section of the presentation, the team lists its current and future models of electric scooters, bicycles and motorcycles, with a lineup that includes electric test bikes under the GasGas umbrella, a pair of GasGas and Husqvarna electric bikes. And, of course, the Husqvarna electric scooter, which we've already discussed, is due out in 2021.

However, the most interesting models listed are ones we have never heard of so far.In fact, the Swedish manufacturer plans to launch another electric motorcycle in 2022.This time, however, we are looking for a suitable street bike, more specifically for the Electric members of the Vitpilen and Svartpilen collections.

The document does not reveal much about upcoming models, but does confirm that the bike is under development and will use a modular battery system (more electric models in the future?), and two electric options will be provided.-- 4 kW and 10 kW.

We'll learn more as we approach the model's expiration date.In the meantime, you'll be glad to know that Norden 901 remains a part of the program.Although the company has not officially launched the bike, it is listed in the brand's current product portfolio. That means we may (hopefully) see it roll out before the end of the year.
