RMK of Finland will show off its production version of its E2 electric motorcycle at the EICMA Milan motor Show in November.It will be driven by a special hubless rear-wheel drive system, which was a real eye-opener when we first saw the concept, and even better, the final production design is very similar.
The full specs haven't been announced yet, but we've been told that it will be more optimized than the concept car, so expect a top speed of more than 160 km/h, a range of at least 240 km/h on a charge, and 80% battery life in two hours.
The RMK E2 has a unique hubless rear wheel and motor drives the rim.Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via three sturdy cables, which help the company reduce the weight to a reasonable 200kg.It is said to have a power output of 67 and can reach a speed of 160 kilometers per hour.
The hubless rear wheel also provides renewable energy to help recharge the battery while riding, with the left hand lever operating the rear brake and the right hand lever operating the traditional dual disc brake system on the front wheel.
The RMK E2 also comes with a clean, modern body design and a Tesla-style futuristic electronic instrument with built-in navigation on top of its "tank" position.
