Here comes, here he comes with Careem Bikes, Dubai shared electric bike!
Although Careem Bikes did not give a specific date for using the bike, expansion slots have been installed throughout the city, so we can use them soon.
Careem Bikes shared electric bikes are rented by membership, with a daily membership fee of AED 20, AED 45 per week, AED 69 per month, and an annual membership price of AED 399.
You can choose your membership through the upcoming app called Careem Bike, which will be available on Google Play and the App Store.
During the membership period, you can ride your bicycle as many times as you like, but you can only ride up to 60 minutes at a time. If you do n’t return the electric bike after one hour, you will be charged an extra hourly fee of Dhs20 every 60 minutes. Return the Careem bike to the bike rack closest to your destination.
According to Careem, these bicycles are controlled by pedals connected to electric motors, and they are very easy to use. You don't need to rotate or step on the accelerator. You only need to press the pedal when it is turned on and the motor will start automatically.
Renters must be at least 15 years old to use Careem bikes. Careem also recommends that riders wear helmets, which need to be brought by themselves.
Careem has reached an agreement with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), announcing that it will introduce no less than 1,750 bikes and 175 return stations in Dubai over the next two years.
